United Nation Foundation Internship

The United Nations has contributed to minimize conflict and maintain peace around the world, alleviate poverty, advance human rights, and enhance cooperation around a common goal. 

The intern will work under the supervision of the Senior Associate of Development. She/he will collaborate with the rest of the Integrated Development team.

  • Prospective corporate, foundation, and individual donors are researched, opportunities for interaction are identified, and possible partners are linked to UNF issue areas and priorities.
  • Assist in the completion of research projects and the creation of briefing materials.
  • Assist in the drafting of donor solicitations, including the management, segmentation, and updating of donor lists.
  • Contribute to the creation of fundraising appeals and templates for donor and partner communications.
  • Follow up with donors and partners after the event.
  • Assist with database maintenance, due diligence on prospective partners, and identifying and implementing operational process improvements.
  • Create a communications collateral collection for fundraising and partnerships.
  • Assist the Integrated Development Team with project management and administrative duties.

Criteria for Selection

  • During the internship, the candidate must be enrolled in a degree-granting program or a recent graduate (within 8 months of graduation) of a college or university. The internship requires between 25 and 40 hours per week.
  • Interest in international development, as well as enthusiasm for fundraising, partnerships, or donor engagement
  • Eagerness to learn, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage many jobs
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Outstanding research and writing communication abilities.
  • Salesforce experience is desired.
  • Event planning experience is desired.
