Nasdaq Ventures, launched in 2017, is a worldwide venture financing program focused on developing talent and technological advances within financial services.

Nasdaq makes investments in firms that fall into one of seven categories: data analytics, artificial intelligence, RegTech and compliance, blockchain and digital assets, market infrastructure, new marketplaces, and ESG. To far,

The team has invested in 15 firms, most recently Matter, a Copenhagen-based ESG data company, and Dealpath, a pipeline management tool for commercial real estate investors based in San Francisco.

The Nasdaq Futures Internship Program offers successful candidates a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in a difficult and engaging 10-week internship. 

As Nasdaq Futures Internship Program participants, you will deliver genuine, effective work inside a business unit. 

Essential Roles of Interns

  • Assisting in the evaluation of potential investment opportunities through initial company screening, industry research, material preservation, and follow-up discussions.
  • Assisting with investment diligence and execution, evaluating and executing bridge financing, or performing industry research to inform company strategy decisions
  • Portfolio and pipeline management tasks include opportunity tracking, project management tool updates, and business development to drive synergies between Nasdaq businesses and portfolio companies.
  • As an intern, you will help the team evaluate new investments and work on ad hoc portfolio management assignments.
  • You will collaborate with Nasdaq’s strategy leads for each of its business divisions, network with senior employees, and meet dozens of passionate founders from across the world.

Qualifications and Skills

You are eligible for this internship, if you have the following requirements  

  • A college sophomore pursuing a business or STEM degree (must be graduating by June 2023)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint prowess
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a strong sense of teamwork and the capacity to work autonomously
  • Capability to handle many assignments at once while meeting deadlines
  • Qualifications Preferred
  • Has a rudimentary understanding of venture capital and a keen interest in financial technologies.
  • Prior employment experience at a venture company, startup, or accelerator
  • Post-graduation plans include working in venture capital, finance, corporate strategy, or startups.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in learning and development initiatives, as well as lunch and learn events with top leaders.
