Internship Program for Logistics Management at the Department of the Army (DA)

The Logistics Management Intern Program is a dynamic two-year program that offers permanent positions with the federal government with opportunities for advancement. 

The Army recruits and trains civilians as Logistics Management Specialist Interns, preparing them for a future career as a member of the Army civilian team supporting soldiers all over the world.

This two-year professional development program includes formal classroom instruction as well as rotational on-the-job training with Department of Defense (DOD) agencies across the United States. Transportation, supply, maintenance, financial management, contract negotiations, and leadership development are all emphasized in training.

Acquisition Professional Career Program of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)

You will use your education and experience as a member of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) acquisition team.

You will be on the front lines every day, directly impacting the mission by acquiring everything from IT hardware and software to boats and aircraft. 

You will be part of a team that annually purchases over $20 billion in goods and services to support the Department’s mission. This is the federal government’s third largest procurement budget.

Naval Acquisition Development Program of the Department of the Navy (DON) (NADP)

The NADP is made up of paid entry level and associate employees and could be a good fit for you. 

The program provides an exceptional opportunity for those who want to rapidly advance their professional careers while also feeling a sense of pride in supporting the DON’s mission.

Student Programs at the Department of State (DOS)

For starters, it would provide you with a sought-after inside look at diplomacy in action, as well as the variety of careers and responsibilities available in the Foreign Service and Civil Service. 

You’ll gain valuable work experience that you can apply to almost any endeavor, whether in government or the private sector. Most importantly, you will feel good about doing something good for your country.

The United States Department of State Student Internship Program is an unpaid internship that provides students with the opportunity to work in U.S. embassies and consulates to gain an understanding of U.S. policy.

Acquisition Internship Program at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) (AIP)

The VA Acquisition Intern Program (AIP) is an 18-month program designed to train future contract specialists. Interns start at the GS-7 level and can advance to the GS-11 level. 

Formal instruction, experiential learning, skill-building workshops, and on-the-job training are all part of the program (approximately 70 percent of the program time). 

Interns who complete the program meet all of the training requirements for Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) Levels I and II. Other government agencies are welcome to participate.

ThiS internship program provides paid opportunities for students enrolled in a wide range of educational institutions from high school to graduate level to work in agencies and explore Federal careers while still in school.
