About Coach Internship

The Sports Education & Coaching Internship is intended for students interested in the development of youth sports curriculums as well as coach education and performance. delivering coaching sessions, assisting with employee training, and more. This position is ideal for students who want to become paid coaches or physical education teachers.

Core Roles

  • Part of your experience will be based at our headquarters, where you will develop, write, and edit youth sports curriculum under the supervision of the Education Manager. 
  • You will help plan and implement coach training sessions and orientation events, as well as monitor coach performance to ensure high program standards. Coaching performance profiles are recorded, tracked, and analyzed.
  • Assist customers with registration over the phone and through live chat.
  • Completing the USA Sport Group’s “Safe Kids” seminar as well as other training sessions
  • Providing customer and coach support over the phone and via email

  • A strong desire to work with children of all ages in a sports setting A thorough understanding of the rules of various sports Experience working with or coaching young children
  • Excellent time management abilities Capable of delivering company philosophy and upholding customer service standards
  • Phone manner that is both clear and friendly
  • Computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to multitask under pressure Good verbal and written communication skills An interest or passion for sports

  • You will be able to observe live practical sessions and lead your own age-appropriate drills, scrimmages, and training sessions for children ages 2 to 19, which is often lacking in traditional instructional coaching courses.
