The center is committed to transparent and efficient government and how it can protect the rights and safety of its citizens while promoting the common good over narrow self-interest.

About Center for American Progress Internship

Interns will work closely with the organization’s policy experts and take part in a range of professional development activities, including workshops, research, writing, and web-based projects. 

Eligibility Criteria

  • All high school, undergraduate, master’s level, Ph.D., and J.D. students are eligible to apply. People are also eligible if they are a veteran or a recent college graduate within six months of graduation.
  • All summer interns work full time and a minimum of 8 weeks.
  • Although 10 weeks is preferred. During the fall, winter, and spring, part-time students are accepted, 
  • Interns must be able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week. 
  • International students must be able to provide documentation that shows they are allowed to work in the United States
