About AOC Internship

The offices of Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in Jackson Heights and Washington, D.C are both in need of motivated, hard-working interns. 

There are both full-time and part-time schedules for the program available for the summer.

The Congressional District of New York’s constituents will be served by interns working alongside staff. Our intention is to give each intern a worthwhile experience that will deepen their knowledge of Congress.

Interns Essential Duties

• Picking up the phone
• Organizing mail
• Conducting legal research
• Taking part in hearings and briefings
• Helping the personnel at public events
• Providing support for constituent casework
• Allocated administrative tasks
• Additionally, depending on their interests, interns will have the option to focus on legislative or communications-related tasks.
• Throughout the Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer semesters, internships are available in both the District and D.C. offices.
• Part-time or full-time employment is an option for interns.
