If you are enrolled in a PhD or Master’s program Amazon is looking for motivated data science students with good modeling skills who enjoy owning and executing data.
You must be able to design, automate, and run analytical models for Amazon systems in order to be successful in this internship.
You will be able to communicate your findings to the business partners and assist in driving improvements.
Essential Qualifications

- Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program or equivalent in math, statistics, computer science, or a related science subject.
- Regression modeling, prediction, forecasting, and time series analysis experience.
- Knowledge of data programming languages (such as SQL, Python, R, and others) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, or Matlab)
- Knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, C, etc.).
- Big data experience: processing, filtering, and displaying enormous amounts of data (100K to Millions of rows).
- Enrolled in a Ph.D. program or equivalent in math, statistics, computer science, or a related science discipline.
- Knowledge of machine-learning methods (e.g., supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, etc.)
- Knowledge of clustered data processing (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Map-reduce, and Hive).
- Technical communication experience at a level adequate for the audience.
